Well, I’ve been slacking as usual in getting some recent pictures up…
Our friend Maya has been staying with us, and we’ve been busy having fun and what-not…not so much time to sit down and upload pictures and type up witty summaries of our daily comings and goings.
This past weekend we were out at Pendarvis Farm for our good friends Dawn and Doyle’s wedding. In addition to it being a really great, fun, beautiful wedding, there was also quite a bit of nostalgia as it was in the same place where Nicki and I got married.
Nicki was a bridesmaid in the wedding, so Anna and I spent much of the day together, catching up with old friends. I didn’t take too many pictures, as I had my hands full, but we did manage to get a few. Our friend Angela got some good ones, and posted them to her blog (which I link to all of the time, because that’s the only other (local) friend we have that has a blog (that I know of)).
The above picture of Nicki and this picture of Nicki, Tricia, and Corrie were taken by our good friend Kelly Horsford, who sadly doesn’t have a blog right now, but I’m sure she will soon, because she needs somewhere to post all of her great photos. This picture, for example, is great. Thanks for the photos Kelly!
Here’s a picture of Anna after Scott took us for a hayride on his grandpas old Ford tractor. It was good to be back out at the farm, and to see our friends Scott and Sherry. They’re good people, and inspirational in every possible way. We are planning on heading back out there next weekend in fact for the Pickathon, which is a big benefit festival for our awesome local community radio station KBOO.
We watched Kadin for a few days after the wedding, so the newlyweds could have a little escape. Anna thought it was great to have him around. He is standing on his own, and is just taking his first steps, which made it tough on him when Anna came over to give him a big bear hug, but they worked it out. We had some fun trying to convince him that he really was tired and should probably go to bed, but other than that he didn’t dish out anything that we couldn’t handle. Mostly it was all worth it because Nicki got this sweet picture of the two of them asleep in the bike trailer after a trip to the park. Awww.
More photos in a while, but it’s nice outside and I have to go let the chickens out. So long for now!
